SACRED MALA MAKING WORKSHOP

Dora Yoga Art & The Mala Man invite you to join us for a Sacred Mala Making Workshop, in Paphos.

The  purpose of this workshop is to give you a powerful spiritual tool that  will help you to stay connected with your deepest intentions and goals  through your Journey of Life :)

WHAT IS A MALA?

A  mala is a simple string of beads used in japa meditation to count  mantras, prayers, or intentions. Malas can also be used to count breaths  or used in a gratitude meditation. Mala is a Sanskrit word meaning  garland. Malas are a type of meditation beads or prayer beads and are  ancient tools that were developed to keep the mind focused and clear  from thoughts.

A full mala contains 108 counting beads plus one guru or meru bead. The  number 108 has a very powerful significance in the science and  spirituality of India.  We will talk about it in details during the  workshop.

Malas  can be made out of many different materials. The most common types of  beads used in a mala are made from wood, seeds, or semi-precious  gemstones. Depending on the material used, the properties of the beads  will have certain energetic effects.

On the workshop we will use gemstones.

THE WORKSHOP:

* You will have an insight to the history of Mala. * You will write down 108 of Your Intentions. * You will choose a gemstone fro your mala. *  As you put the gemstone beads on the cord you will repeat your  intentions one by one, bead to bead. It`s a very personal, beautiful and  powerful process. * We will hold you the space with meditation and sound healing music.
